Yesterday at the diner they were serving camel kabsa. I have been a vegetarian (though I eat fish occasionally) for the past 5 years, but when I saw a cultural opportunity, I had to take it. So folks, I have officially eaten camel. I will never do it again. The flavoring (as with all kabsa) was amazing, but the texture was too tender and fatty. The gamey, fattiness permeated through the spices and stuck with me for the rest of the day. It was a once in a lifetime adventure!
