Our first destination in Argentina was San Martin de los Andes.
We really liked this little town. The place was relaxed, easily walkable, full of nice little parks, and we found an excellent pizza place. We much preferred San Martin to Bariloche, where we ventured next. Bariloche would not be on my list of places to visit again, it felt like a loud latino version of Gatlinburg minus the entertaining gimmicks, however, the drive from San Martin to Bariloche was spectacular. The mirrored lakes and mountain topped views were well worth a few hours in the car.
