While there might not have been any fireworks, hot dogs, or slip'n'slides, 4th of July in Saudi Arabia was still sweet in its own way. We climbed up on top of the roof and imagined how awesome it would be to see fireworks glittering the sky with the Mosque in the foreground. Alas, no pyrotechnics, but the KAUST lights glittered on their own.
