The Eiteljorg

If you live in Indianapolis, GO TO THE EITELJORG!  This museum is just really amazing.  The exhibits show art of the American Indian and Great West and the colors are like none I have seen in any other museum around the world.  The bright reds and oranges and blues are so iconic of the western United States.  I find it a bit ironic that this museum, ranked as one of the world's best, is located in Indiana (as Indiana is in the Midwest, not the West) but its founder, Harrison Eiteljorg, was from Indianapolis.  Go figure?  So, Indy people, go check it out and for those of you not living nearby, be inspired to take a roadtrip out West.
