patience

A little bit of disconnect does the soul some good.

Again, it has been a week since my last post.  Yesterday, I just returned from Istanbul where Pablo, my mother and I spent four glorious days.  My mom made the big trip out to Saudi the week before and then the week or so before that, I was in the Philippines.  So, life has been a bit crazy but I have been so grateful to spend quality time with my family.  It has been good to disconnect a bit from my day to day hectic life and the weird world of blogging.  I do intend, though, to reflect on and recount my recent adventures, so fear not, you haven't lost me yet.

The photo above is another shot of the first sunset I saw in the Philippines.  This one was taken an hour or so after this one.  It was amazing, just when I thought that the sunset was magnificent, a few minutes later, the colors would deepen even more and sparkle across the calm water.  Its funny how sometimes things tend to get richer with time.  if you only have the patience to wait.  and watch.

  1. I was wondering when I'd get to see more of the Philippines! Sounds like things have been crazy busy, but I'm glad you're getting that family time in. I can't wait until I can do the same (in about 6 weeks!)

    2. Em, you've inspired me to resurrect my blog. I feel guilty for not documenting the life changes and adventures I've had over the past couple of years. Most of all, I've missed writing. So i am going to try and summarize the past few years, including travels, in the next few posts and then move into the present. Staying present in the moment as you do. You are such an incredible person and an inspiration. Love you lady!
